Marc - I love the look of your signature series with the gold pickguard and TRC. I would have loved for RIC to offer the 4003 Blue Boy with gold plastics as well - it would have been a nice tribute to the original Blue Boys. I'm sure your 4004Cii BB will look great with the gold hardware. A C64 Blue Boy with gold would look pretty sharp as well..... hmmm.....

That,s a great colour shot Steve. The BB and SG are just two cool colours. As I mentioned in an earlier thread the SG probably wasn,t the strongest seller and you certainly don,t see many for sale. I,d imagine it,s fairly similar for the BB...Shame, because those colours suit a 4xxx series bass so well. I think the Ric purists like the traditional colours mainly tho...Give it another couple of years of the traditional finishes and we,ll be all be lining up ready for shell pink...

Steve, a few months ago I wanted to order a c64 in BlueBoy with gold guard and TRC, like the original blueboy guitars. But RIC will not make the c64 in BlueBoy! I can't figure out why. Chris Clayton of Pick of the Ricks told me that so far they could not get a c64 in Blueboy. He would be able to do a 4003 in Blueboy and gold guard and TRC. But I wanted a c64 in that color. Could be really special.

Interesting Ilan... I wonder what the reasoning is behind that decision. I thought I saw a C64 in jetglo somewhere along the line, and if so, I wonder why other solid colours aren't available?
I did think about getting my 4003 tricked out with gold trim, but somehow it wouldn't look quite right in my eyes with the white binding. A bass without binding like the C64 would look very cool though.

Steve, yes, Chris Clayton had a Jetglo c64:

If RIC makes a bass and the wood grain isn't perfect they paint it black, there are a few Jetglo v63's as well (maybe 10). But the color isn't listed as a standard option for the vintage series.

Here's a 660 in the BlueBoy/binding/gold plastics combination (from Mike Parks's site):

North Coast Music has a c64 JG according to their website.

How many v63 JGs are in Forum hands, anyway? I have one, who else?

If I'm not mistaken, I think Melissa has TWO of 'em.....and didn't Marc have one?
