Yeah Jeff, I ve talked to him several times about using a 57 too because I have always liked them and he insists that it's a full range mic. I haven't seen any of the videos yet except the first one and that night the bass sounded lousy, was kind of muffled, but supposedly it's been better since then. I even capitulated and told him to go ahead and use a direct box if he wanted but he seems to like it the eay it is now. I brought one of my old SVT's in this week with the original 8 X 10 cab and he liked that a lot better than the 15"s, I think they are going to rerun one this Sunday so I'm going to check it out.
