I've already got a Yamaha tuned BEAD which makes me think that might be a better plan, especially if the 5 string is that hard to play (it does look a little cramped)... plus the 4 strings are cheaper Image

Well folks, I finally was able to pick up the new bass last night and shot a few pics for you to see, however, I am having a rough time figuring how to get the file down to 36kb. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know and I'll post the pics.

Much thicker neck but very playable. Haven't had time yet to hear it. That happens over the next few days and I will post a comparison to my 4003/5.

Regards,

Paul

do you have WIN XP?

open pic with MS "Paint", go to "Image" > "stretch/skew" > use a % of reduction to determain size.

Better yet, set the "measurment" to pixels, then you can set the image as close the the dag nabbit limit of 500x500

I've been using IRFANVIEW for a couple of weeks and it is fantastic!! Let's you do all the basic things you'd want to do to a photo.....

Including that #@$%^&* 500x500 thingy....!!!

Thanks for the advice. I am using a Mac since I work for Apple. What I've tried to do is reduce the size of the image to 500x500 using Photoshop but the file size always seems to be more than 36kb if saved as a jpeg. If I save it any smaller, the pic won't be viewable.

Chris,

No, didn't know Rick. I am based in Cupertino at the main campus. Was he here? What organization was he in? I am the product manager for iMac/eMac and Displays in WW Operations.
