Oh Tim just one more thing, if your amp is getting hot enough to shut down there is definitely a problem somewhere that a fan isn't going to fix or help at all. It's warning you by shutting down that is a safety feature, one of these times it will shut down permanently at least until it takes a little vacation to the repair shop.

A Crown DC300A would be my choice of the ones recommended. It has a dampening factor of greater than 1000, great for punch. Also if my memory serves me right it actually ends up with more than 600 watts when strapped into mono operation. It is a great work horse with a good number of output devices and a massive power supply.

It kicks it, especially running at 4 ohms!
