I wonder if I could fabricate a plate to fill-up the space around the toaster.

Whoa getting ahead of myself-still got your pseudoshoes to make...

If I were to consider a "cover" plate, black anodized aluminium (UK spelling) might set off the chrome better as there is an abundance of bright parts there already. That would make the toaster pop out from the black surround.

Jared: Back in the 70's I knew of a few players who cut covers out of pieces of plexi that replaced the plastic spacers on the springs. It was just a regtangle with a pickup-shaped hole in the center. There was a hole at each end for the adusting screws.

Thanks, I did have a bit of help from my Minolta Dimage A1 and Photoshop! I am truly impressed with the close up capabilities of this camera.

Pickguardian (US spelling) has such a plate available, albeit in plexi.

Tony's is designed to go with his replacement surround, so I am not sure if it will fit under the chrome surround. I do plan on discussing this with him.

Great pics, Jeff!
The toaster looks damn classy in that location. Very nice idea, my friend!

How does the toaster sound in the treble position? What are sonic the differences between it and the original high gain treble PU?
