Columbus may be good. Chris P and I are going to meet to trade some gear so that part of Ohio will have to do.

Columbus would be great for me. But really, Springfield is only 30-40 minutes from here. Hope to see you all.

The important thing is a gathering place where we can party, jam and play great music, have serious discourse (yeah, right) on our favorite brand of instrument, etc.

I dont think we can do it all in one place. I would suggest everyone meeting at a hotel, say on a Friday, making contact, perhaps checking out a few instruments, then as a group, going out and having some dinner, a few drinks, some casual conversation, then getting up on Saturday and meeting at a designated site for the playing and drooling session.

As far as a site for the business end of the visit, I was thinking that maybe a local music store would possibly be interested in hosting something like this.

If anyone in the area knows a reputable shop, (A RIC dealer would probably be best), that would be willing to take us in, mabye a room with some cool amps, cords, possibly a few effect units,

We could offer him (or her) the RIC display event of the year. (advertise?) Perhaps we could even be resposible for boosting RIC sales as a result.

You know, the more I think of it, maybe the big guns, (Mike Parks) and (Chris Clayton) would be interested in hosting a bigger, say a "National" event in the future.

Maybe Peter M. and John H. could come.

That sounds like a good idea Scott. The only music store I can recall that may have Rickenbackers in the area is The String Shoppe in Columbus.

The String Shoppe or German Village music, but that's a small store. I haven't been to the String Shoppe in quite some time. I'll have to mosey up there and see what kind of space they may have.
Oh yea, sorry for the triple post above, the browser kept saying that the message did not go through.

Columbus for a 4005 confluence! As long as I don't have conflicting dates -- I'm in. Sorry Phoenix guys, I'm giving in.

Chris, I look forward to seeing your fireglo. It's a '65, isn't it? Mine is a '66.
