"Whats wrong with Turquoise?"
Absolutely NOTHING!!!
I love the color, and would love to own one or more Ricks in that finish, except for a few minor problems:
1) Fireglo
2) Mapleglo
3) Burgundy
4) Montezuma Brown
I played a beautiful TUR 660/12 at the Arlington Guitar Show a couple months ago, it is such a cool finish with checkerboard binding, if only I were Bill Gates!!!

What's the origin of the Turquoise finish? Automotive color?

Seems automotive. Does anybody have a code so I can refinish my 325V59 in the correct shade?

My two Turquoise RICs:

It is a color that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated!

360s aren't my favorites, although I may break down and get a CW FG someday. BUT that turq 360 looks amazing. Metallic colors need curves to look best!

Okay.... There are so many gorgeous pics on this thread that I guess I'll have to post one of my 325v59, too!

Where on earth did you get that, Melissa? That is proof positive that turquoise RULES THE ROOST.

Paul, that was my 1993 Christmas present from my husband.... he got it on eBay. The seller told us it was from Dave's Guitars, and it was one of 10 made in that color. He thought it was Cloverfield Green (in hand it does look a bit greener than in photos), but when I asked John Hall about it, he stated that it is in fact Turquoise.... it is one of my favorite Rics to play, and always gets a lot of attention when I bring it out!

Melissa, I found that very pic online somewhere and it's been in my album ever since I first saw it. It is gorgeous and a real change from MG and JG. The gold pickguards look great with the color!
