This may test the memory of even the 'oldies' in the forum:
You Were On My Mind - We Five
IMO this was a far better version that that of Crispian St Peters - his went to #2 on the British charts in 1966. Don't know where We Five's got to. Both versions were released on 1965.

Lead singer's name was Sylvia...that's my recollection. But the guitarist played a 360-12!

Paul,
Sylvia Tyson wrote it (from the Canadian duo Ian and Sylvia) but there is conjecture as to whether the singer on the recording was her or Beverly Bivens or even somebody else who left the band immediately after the recording.
At this point in time the mystery remains just that!
Glad to head it was a Ric 12 string - I was going to ask that question anyhow.

I saw them perform it lip-synched on "Where the Action Is", and the lady was introduced as "Sylvia". The moment is engraved in my memory. I often wondered if it was THAT Sylvia...
