"So... You're saying that checked binding IS an option if we pay for it! =)
:
: (Who's ready to order his creemie Blue-Burst-Glo with checked binding!)"
My opinion is that all checkered binding (and all work at Rickenbacker for that matter) should be dedicated to the production of 4004LK's....not that I have any personal stake in that course of action
. Plus, there isn't the headache of the black trim option.....

I agree with Brian, Blueburst 4003, and Chequered binding, wonderful .... now, slip on a c64 shoe (well preferably a v63) and now we're talking !!!
Oh .... and that zero fret from the c64s would also be a nice addition !!!

On the subject of TRCs, I asked Rosetti in England, just for future reference, if I was able to get a vintage-style TRC upon returning a non-vintage one, and they seemed pretty sure I couldn't, although they never did get back to me to confirm. So far as I'm aware you can do that in the US. Were Rosetti correct? If I ever get a 4003 I'd prefer it to have the vintage TRC, and I'm not sure either whether we can get the full vintage package over here. I'd be grateful for some confirmation from anyone in the know.
