Yes the majority of things that are wanted here are precisely that, things which didn't sell before.

hey John ... next time you are going to discontinue something ... make a some extras and hold them for a while and then re-introduce them at 150% the cost they were before as a limited edition ...

"So... You're saying that checked binding IS an option if we pay for it! =)

::m:: (Who's ready to order his creemie Blue-Burst-Glo with checked binding!)"

My opinion is that all checkered binding (and all work at Rickenbacker for that matter) should be dedicated to the production of 4004LK's....not that I have any personal stake in that course of action Image. Plus, there isn't the headache of the black trim option.....

Trust me, you wouldn't want the guys that do such great binding work carving your Lemmy bass. We let the specialists do what they do best.

I'd pay a premium on a new Ric to have Chequered binding, just tell me how much the delta $ would be.

I agree with Brian, Blueburst 4003, and Chequered binding, wonderful .... now, slip on a c64 shoe (well preferably a v63) and now we're talking !!!

Oh .... and that zero fret from the c64s would also be a nice addition !!!

I think my biggest concern is the nameplates, which as we all know can NOT be had without returning our existing plates and paying $40 or so (plus shipping both ways), which is kind of silly when the guitars could come from the factory with the plates.

On the subject of TRCs, I asked Rosetti in England, just for future reference, if I was able to get a vintage-style TRC upon returning a non-vintage one, and they seemed pretty sure I couldn't, although they never did get back to me to confirm. So far as I'm aware you can do that in the US. Were Rosetti correct? If I ever get a 4003 I'd prefer it to have the vintage TRC, and I'm not sure either whether we can get the full vintage package over here. I'd be grateful for some confirmation from anyone in the know.
