I didnt mean to say anything negative. I really just wanted to point out the grain. Sorry if my comment offended anyone. I think all of the CII's are very unique.
But back to the one on the 'bay, I still think its a real sleeper at that price.
Remember a few years ago?? You couldnt find one, let alone buy one.

John, as an architect, I will do what I can to make sure that the wood used in my projects is not maple, so that the other industries that use it may benefit in such beautiful ways!

It was an easy sell since my wife's favorite color is blue. I showed her the Blueburst 4003 from NAMM and then this one and we both liked the figuring on the Cii.
So that's one more for the arsenal. Now all I need to find is a late 70s 4001 in white with black trim.
I thought it was going to go without any bidding until late and then there would be a flurry of activity that might drive it up near the BIN price, so I got it now since some folks here thought the RIN was good. Plus, the seller agreed to pick up the shipping in return for the BIN.
