"The Eggmen" display does not look real.

Looks ok to me, it's a large scale video display foind at a lot of ballparks and stadiums, more than likely Mitsubishi Diamond ....

No, why would I need to do that?

It's the Dell(as in computers)Diamond in Round Rock,Texas. The stage was out at second base. It was us, The Grass Roots, The Turtles, and Herman's Hermits. Here's another photo from the same day, the "Meet n Greet" before the show, with Peter"Herman"Noone signing my Epiphone Rivoli.

Were Flo and Eddy with The Turtles? They had some great songs and were great musicians also. Killer rhythm section for the times. I like all those bands.

Yes they were. They were all very cool and friendly. And yes I've still got the bass. It's like Karl Green's from the 60s Hermits. When Peter Noone saw it he said "Oh, an old Epeephone"! I had brought it just to get it signed but broke a string on the Hofner during the show and ended up playing it.

One of my favorite groups from the '60s, The Turtles....great vocals and great music!!

In the middle of their set they talked about guesting on other people's hit songs and then proceeded to do a medley of those tunes, it was amazing and totally fun.

The story, as I remember it: the Turtles were under contract when they broke up, and there were a couple of nasty management and record company lawsuits pending. They couldn't legally use their own names if it involved playing or recording music. So when Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan (Turtles' frontmen) joined the Mothers of Invention in the early 1970s, Volman called himself The Phlorescent Leech and Kaylan became Eddie. They later became the Flo & Eddie band, and a later version became the new Turtles "featuring Flo & Eddie". So after all those years, it's really the same frontmen as the original Turtles.

Great stuff on the Turtles...back to the mute question. I am finding myself using it when I practice alone to dampen the ringing overtones (I guess to make up for sloppy technique). However, when I play with my group - the rest of the guitars and drums tend to drown out any unwanted sound so I lower the mute.
