I drive in Boston with New Hampshire plates...now that's dangerous! They think us "Granite Heads" are from another planet!

I've driven in Boston.
The unfortunate things about words is that, no matter how carefully we choose them, tone of voice is difficult to convey.
I meant my comments as a gentle jibe, not as bitchy as it sounded.
My apologies. We're all friends on this Forum, and that's one reason why it's so pleasant hanging around!

Sorry to hear about the accident, Paul. I'm glad you and the Rick are alright.
As we Chinese say, "Best of luck comes to those who survived a fatal disaster". Be ready for something good to happen, my friend!

I'll watch for that 360F in the mail sometime this week.

San Francisco driving can be adventureous for sure. I moved here from New Jersey near NYC and everyone drives fairly aggressively there. But that's the thing, just about all the people there drive aggressively, you know what to expect.
San Francisco gets so many people from so many different places, it's like all the wacky driving styles from all over in one spot!
Yow!

Try driving through Florence or Rome - it's whites of the eyes stuff!! Especially if you come from a right-hand-drive country. And if you're a pedestrian, STREWTH!!!
I found driving in Seattle pretty easy but LA was frightening (even in a Lincoln Town Car)!

"(even in a Lincoln Town Car)".... oh yeah, the old sheet metal pachyderm, the ultimate protection in a car.

This is great! And I mean it in a sincere sort of way. I now have maped out all these places I will be fearful to drive, Boston, San Francisco, Rome, Florence, LA,(some I've already driven, unbeknownst of the hazards) and not to mention where I already live. I've decided to walk. So, if you drive the Interstates I will be the tall, lanky goober with a Ric on my back.
I think my wife would go for it, she might even encourage it.

Sorry, Ken. The Lincoln is the only 'made-in-thu-USA' vehicle I've ever driven (apart from a WWII Jeep and a Cat D9) so I don't really have any idea what's hot and what's not over there!!
Mind you, the D9 was pretty hot. Maybe you could get one of those, Paul?
Stan: Add London and Manchester to your black list!! If you've got one going for easy-peasy driving, add Belfast - an absolute breeze!!
Cheers

Wow. A D9. But the gas mileage would be pretty bad...
Nobody mentioned London. Can you spell "gridlock"?
Rio IS fun as long as you stick to Zone Sul (Ipanema, Leblon) and Barra. Avoid Copacabana, Centro, and Zona Norte (Norhern Zone), which the locals call "Zona Morte" (Zone of Death)!

I've driven in all of the places mentioned above (except for Paul's Brazil) and the worst by far is Santiago, Chile. Not only that, you can't see or breathe due to the smog.
I didn't actually try driving there but Beijing looked pretty scary as well.
The easiest driving, by far, is anywhere in Iceland. You have to watch out for those pesky puffins though.

It was a dark and stormy night...
I was on my way home from the wax factory...and THEN...
I visited the body shop yesterday and it's in good pro hands in a high-end shop that my insurance company recommended. All bases covered. They say ten days.
I am calmer now and, yes, not a scratch on me or Rick.

See - I'm right!
I've always said that cars are just a "black hole" you throw your money into...
