Rob, it's cardesnr99. It was my original e-mail address in 1996, when I actually was a car designer.

Now I can't spell it.

curmudgeon by day....

incidentally, i'm 'red' due to my unswerving allegiance to a certain football club.

and not due to any severe left wing political leanings.

in case you were wondering, comrades.

I'm surprised that the moderators haven't been in touch. After all, it is a 'Gretsch' forum, not a 'gross' one.

Maybe they are getting just as big a kick out of it as the members and can't stop laughing long enough to contact him.

He has the hide of a rhinoceros, does mvp....... and the brain of a gnat!

Red is good, Rob! My allegiance is such that I'm forever blowing bubbles.....

Eeh... now a little mouse has landed on the ladder and felt so bad... turned to something like R in the end...
Mmm... Brian is a lot of fun, in fact - and something tells me he's just kiddin':
"...anyways these guitars I have been building are strictly fun and why not do it, maybe someday I will be better at this if I continue..."
Looks like a "spam" or a "flashmob" - personally, i doubt he's serious about his work...

Sure he's good for lots of laughs, Sheena, but I have no doubt that he's serious. More's the pity....... Image

Don't know, Sheena. I suspect he's fairly young - Paul may be able to impart......

Liverpool FC!

That a jackass, Sheena?

I get the impression that mvp is in his late 20s. I dunno, just a vibe; a mix of know-too-little masquerading as know-too-much, toss in a dash of illiteracy/innumeracy, and crown with a frothy dollop of ignorant arrogance.

Decaf, please...

Well, that's how Mousie sees him... Image and mind that "red" is kind of synonymous to "lunatic" in Russian...
Late 20s... damn... personally, i like to hope he's about a decade younger than me... or two decades... or three... oh wait... in this case, he's not born yet!

hell no not liverpool! Shouldn't get into this as I've made some good friends on this site and this is a sure fire way to lose some! let's just say I was upset when Georgie Best died.

I'd love to meet mvp...how much do you think he spent on the parts for that 'guitar' anyway?

Just winding you up, Rob, and apparently it worked...

Georgie was quite The Lad in his day wasn't he, tho?

I'd estimate he spent about $700 in parts and another $100 in wood. The Cadillac tailpiece is about $200.00 used, alone.

Everything's top-of-the-line except the rest.

Or something like that.

AAArrrrgggghhhhhhhh....

I'll bet the CEO of FMC has no idea what he's missing by not posting on gretschpages.com...

Good news: looks like "mpv"'s projects were removed from the Gretsch forum... at least, i didn't manage to find them, or perhaps i was lucky enough to miss them this time.
Bad news (probably "bad" only for me): i admit i was wrong when i tried to "defend" this... guy, even if jokingly. And i'm sorry about it.
