"I imagine this sort of opinion changes after the wedding vows, whether the spouse is husband or wife...."
You imagine correctly. Marriage means someone else is also involved in your decisionmaking...and what about all the "practical" things that ought to be taken care of first? Shouldn't you really be getting a new dishwasher?
The way to eliminate this problem, of course, is to get filthy rich.

Howard, even if he offered me $1600.00 I
would not sell. I went last week to our
local Rick dealer and they had a 350V63
in Jetglow ($1899.00) before tax. So its
gone up in price when I bought mine I was
under $1600.00 and now its not even a two year
and look what they want.

I wouldn't accept it either, Lou....... some things in this world are worth more that money - such as peace, health, family and 350v63s!!

So when was the last time Paul's wife said:
"Is that a Capri between us or are you just happy to see me?"
....and a bit more "on topic" I wouldn't sell my 350V63 for less than 2K

Elyrand where did you buy your 350V63?
I really like the color Midnight Blue
how does it play. I would post a picture
but I still don't have a digital camera.

I can answer that, Lou. Elys beat me to the 'BIN' punch on an ebay auction earlier this year. I was a little disappointed that I'd missed out but lo and behold another one appeared on ebay only a matter of days later, so I wasn't going to miss out a second time!

Howard I was checking Gary web page at NCM
and came across a new item. Gary calls it
Vox Baby "Beetle" Amplifier. Its the Vox
AD120VTH and a 412 CAB made to look like
the Thomas Organ era Vox Amps. The price
is $1499.00 and I was wondering how my
350V63 Rickenbacker and my Gretsch 6128TBEE
Duo Jet would sound thru this setup. Do you
anyone who has this setup? This brings me back
to the late 60's when having a Rickenbacker and
a Vox Amp was the IN THING.

I don't know anyone who has that setup, Lou. Dean Steliga has an AD120VT and swears by it. I'm probably going to get rid of my AC30CC1 so I might look into the Vox head/cabinet option but at a 'street price' here of $1780 I doubt that I'd go for it.
I'm very happy with my Roland JC-120/Korg AG-1500 combination. I can plug in any guitar (I have Rickenbacker, Gretsch, Gibson, Fender and others), fiddle a bit with the Korg and get a great result.

Lou,
I have had the AD120VTH with two AD212 speaker cabs now since 2002. I bought the rig after spending a couple of hours with the head and the AD412. I would not trade my rig for anything. The Rics can do any tone you can dream up through the AD120VTH. I can get any vintage Ric tone, along with unbeatable blues tones, can even play more modern higain tones with the 350V63 and sound as good or better (clearer) than my '69 LP Deluxe.
That being said, they have been discontinued, and so will be getting harder to find. Also if you are going to gig with it, you will need either the VC4 or VC12 foot controller. They are specific to the Vox "Blue" series amps and no other footcontroller will work.
Gary's special versions are awesome looking, and no doubt will be able to give you all the Beatle tones you will ever need.

Dean, I could order the Vox "Baby Beetle" Amp from Gary but I was looking on ebay and
there is a reissue Vox Teardrop for sale. The color is Black and it would match my 350V63
and my 6128TBEE Duo Jet. Another guitar that I was looking at is a Vox Phantom its a
protoype and I don't know if that guitar will go up in value. Price wise the TearDrop is
in my range always liked those Vox guitars. Do you play out with your setup and how
do you move it? The ebay one ends today around 5pm as I said before I thought about
selling my 350V63 now with the price going up in the stores I'm not going to do that.
Where did you buy your AD120VTH & 412 Cab because I had gone to GC and played
my Gretsch thru that setup and it sounded good at the time I didn't have my 350V63.
Now that I have the guitar I would like to hear how it sounds thru that rig the last
time that I was at GC they didn't have any in stock.

Dean I'm not going with the Vox TearDrop on ebay so that leaves just the Vox "Baby Beetle"
and the Vox Phantom Guitar. I wonder how what my 350V63 and the Phantom have in common.
When you bought the Amp did the sales person spend any time with you and show you how the
amp works? Do you play your 350V63 on gigs thru your amp or do you bring other guitars.
Howard besides your 350V63 do you own any Vox Guitars?

Howard is right, Lou. I bought it on eBay, for nearly $2000 US if I recall correctly, and I was mortified when I later heard that Howard had wanted it too. If I had been following the threads more closely and known that, of course I would have backed off, as I always do if it really means a lot to someone else.
It did turn out OK, though, when another came up right afterwards and Howard got it. (psst, don't tell Aitch I said this, but I think his is a much better-looking 350v63 than mine, so he really got the long end of the stick!

Elysrand blue is my favorite color even tho I have jetglow I find that it takes
me about a year or two to break in my 350V63. The more you play the better
it becomes. What I like about having three different guitars is that they all
have there own sound. If I'm playing Beatles music then I'll pickup my 350V63
if I switch to the Rollong Stones I'll play my 6128TBEE Duo JET. Now if I want
a heaiver sound then I might use my Steinberger GR4. It seems within the last
few weeks that I'm just using the 350V63 more then my other guitars. My neighbor
Joe also has a 350V63 in Jetglow and that's his main guitar he also has a 330-12 string
in Jetglow. What's good about that is that he lives one block away from me so its easy
for us to jam.
