Thanks Tammy,

It is just SO cool!

He wrote "To Tony........Happy 46th & take care of MY RICK. All the best, Chris Squire".

It is so NICE & CLEAR too!

I wrote Chris & Scotty that I have a 4001CS and that I would NEVER part with it, hence the "MY RICK" part!

I love it!

Now, we wait for the Christmas CD, what a great year!

You said it Tammy,

It is SO nice to know that he is so reachable and down to earth.

Scotland wrote me a really neat Email with some great details about the Christmas CD. What great peopole. I truly evny you folks that met them BOTH at the 75th Anniversary celebration.

I hope to meet them both one of these days before I cash in my chips!

me too Tony, I am kicking myself for not going to the 75th but back then I had no idea how great all of the people on the forum were, the quality of the Rickenbacker, or the opportunities that would be missed.. boy I have made some stupid mistakes in my life...

Speaking of great people, I think I may have mentioned this here. A while back when I first ordered my autographed FOOW, due to some e-mail glitches, I sent the Squires an inquiry to make sure they even got my request. This email included my phone number, which I didn't worry about with them, but usually I strike it from other e-mails I send, for safety's sake. Well, Imagine my surprise a little bit later when we're sitting at dinner and the phone rings. My stepson picks it up, talks a little, brings the phone to me and says with a quizzical look on his face "it's some Scotty Squire or something". Wha???!!!! Well, after explaining that they got the order and not to worry, I can clearly hear Chris speaking in the background too. After a minute or so of niceties and thanks from both of us, we end the call. I just couldn't believe they'd take the time to call me, on their dime no less. All this, plus my other encounters with Chris in the past convince me that they're great people.

Maybe he's learned a lesson!!! It is a very large time undertaking, but means so much to those who order. It would be nice.

He just does not appreciate the full glory of black on black Ricks, that's all 8)

Umm, but that FOOW bass is pretty black http://www.stoneghost.co.uk .... I bet I could get one of those made out of an old Rick carcass....
