Nice Job, Mark. I love the color, and the body edges look great (and must feel better too)!

That is just great!
There is only one thing I was thinking about:
Judging from the pictures Maccas bass has got a slightly different scratchplate. Compare the cut of the lower horn and its distance to the scratch plate. At Maccas bass the lower corner of the scratch plate does not seem to be parallel to the end of the fretboard. There seems to be a slight bow, in my eyes.
BTW: The cut of your bass is slightly deeper - compare with the both last frets. This is a thing You can not change. But, IMHO it is not a problem at all because the old days all of them were more or less completely handmade. There is no "right shape", it never has been. This was before the times of CNC.
- So again: Congraulations, very impressive!

You're right, Sascha. That difference is especially noticable given the difference in where the bottom body wings meet the fretboard - Paul's intersecting close to the 20th fret, Rick's intersecting closer to the edge of the fretboard. Sanding that PG down would definitely help it match more and compensate for the difference in the body wing shapes. An easy fix!

I like to care about these details.
Actually I am working on a Telecaster kit. I want it looking like 1960 or something like that.
These small details make a difference - and it is a nice puzzle to discover all the differences.
In the end You know literally everything about Your instrument. Isn't that nice?!
- And Yours is something to be proud of!

Ya, but the lines on the knobs are facing the wrong directions!

And the grain is different, too!

Except for the grain issue, some remarks.
The upper horn looks smaller on the macca bass.
There's the cutaway and scratchplate issue mentioned above
The scratchplate near the jack is not parallel to the body contour on the macca bass
Also the bridge pup surround is more square on the original.
And it could be the angle of the picture taken, but the tailpiece doesn't look perpendicular to the centerline of the neck on the original.
Very small issues, i know.
Edit: some spelling issues corrected.

Don't forget about that gouge in the bass bout above the back edge of the bridge pickup!
