I actually have two AD212 cabs, Lou. I tried out the AD412 and was really impressed, but it did not fit in my car. The two AD212s do. Yes I play out with it. I can use a couple of configurations. The head and one 2x12, the head and two 2x12s stacked up or my favorite, the head and one cab on one side of the drummer, and the other cab on the other side, connected in stereo.

I use the 350V63 as my go to guitar, a 620JG, a 660/12FG, an LP Deluxe Gold Top and sometimes a Godin Exit22 (nicest neck other than a Ric) or a Godin LGXT P90. Usually just the Rics though.

The salesman in the one place I went to try it out didn't even know what it was, only that it was in the store. I researched it myself and thought it might be a good amp for me because of the ability to set up any style of music on it with a press of a button. I already had a good idea about the amp and showed the sales guy how it worked. I did not have a Ric at the time (they are pretty rare in Canada) so could not try it out with one. The store I went to only had the usual boring electrics, no Rics.

I gig with it about once a month (Dad band), but it goes back and forth from our jam space to my house on average once a week. There are some maintenance things to watch for, but it has been very reliable, and I get great comments every gig.

Dean, I'm going to GC today to see what they have in stock. The only Rickenbackers
they have would be used. They did have a Vox cab I think it was a 412 or a 212 but
I don't know if they have a AD120VTH. I will bring my 350V63 with me at one time
they did have the AD120VTH but I did'nt have the Rickenbacker so I played my 6128TBEE
Duo Jet it was thru a Marshall 412 cab and it sounded real good. I'm a big fan of the Thomas
Organ Vox Amps that's why I was looking at the NCM site and I love that look. Where I live
there not to many with that type of setup. I'm also looking at other Rickenbackers we one
local music store that sells them and they have in stock a 360, 370, and a 350V63 all Jetglow.
Here is the prices the 350V63 $1899.00 the 360 $1364.00 and the 370 $1484.00 this is before
tax. There is also another music store called Drome Sound and they carry a lot of Vox Amps but
no Rickenbacker guitars. I bought mine back in January of 06 since then the price has gone up by
three hundred dollars and its only been a year and nine months. The last thinng that I'm looking at
is a reissue Vox Phantom its more of a 60's thing because that's when I was growing up. Its also in
my price range. Do you use Rickenbacker string on your 350V63? :)
No other guitar sound as good as a Rickenbacker thru a Vox AC-30TBX

I use Rickenbacker strings, Rotosound, and the new Markley Nickels. Depends on what I have and what I need. I go through one set of strings on my 350 every week, so it depends on what is in my toolbox and what is available locally if nothing left in the toolbox. Rickenbacker strings are a mail order for me (no one locally carries them) so in between order arrivals, I use one of the other two types. Rotosounds are pretty rare here now too. I was surprised at the Dean Markley nickels. They have a very nice tone.

You guys are right so I will sell my wife and daughter just kidding but I just
sold one of my guitars. I sold a 1997 Vox Phantom Prototype that I bought
last week. It was not what I thought it would be. My 350V63 sounds so good
thru my AC-30TBX and with that body style people come up and ask what
guitar is that and I tell them its a Rickenbacker.

Ain't that the truth!!

Glad you kept the 350v63, Lou. I would have suggested the Steinberger..... the Gretsch and Rick are both special and something to hang on to for as long as you possibly can!

I'm about to try the new Markley nickels myself, Dean. I can get them for about $5 a set in lots of 5 here so I figured they are worth a crack. I'll try them on one of my v63s and probably my AM Strat.

Howard do you play any Paul Revere and The Raiders with you 350V63?
Just wondering what some song would sound like that when you see the
artist they were using other style guitars. How many different styles of
music can the 350V63 cover. :?:

Don't do any Paul Revere and the Raiders stuff, Lou.

I play predominately rhythm guitar and I've used the v63 for just about everything I play - from the Beatles to Santana, Pink Floyd to Mellencamp! It's extremely versatile but sometimes I need a sound that the Rick doesn't have so I jump on to one of my Strats or Gibsons.

However, there is always a Rick sitting on a stand ready to go and that tends to be my Monty Brown v63! :D

In fact, here's the 'lounge room lineup' as it stands this very minute:

Howard nice picture someday I'll get a digital camera and I know what you
are saying. If I have to play something a little different and maybe my 350V63
just doesn't have the sound that I'm after then I might try my Gretsch or my
Steinberger GR4. Most of the time my 350V63 does the job. :D

Just was wondering how many Rick guys and girls play a 350V63
and why did you pick that model over others Rick models? Also
what Amp gives you your best tone with your 350V63.
For me its my Vox AC-30TBX. 8)
