Nice outdoor gig this summer, before I lost 48 lbs.

48 LBS? WOW! Congrat's Ron!
That's like 1/3 of a Jeff Thomas!

+1 Ronn! Congrats! How'd you do it? I've lost about 26 lbs and kept it off, but seemed to stopped there.

Weight Watchers actually. Started it on my 50th birthday in June. For reference, here's a shot from last month, same shirt even.

Sounds like you're doing what I said I would when I turned 50. 6 years later I still have a ways to go.

Ha, the backline was supplied by the festival, the GK rig's not mine.

This is me last night, only the 3rd gig in 2 or so years. It was for charity...unfortunately I was some way off my best due to nerves (and illness!).

Good shot, Shaun. I make it out to be a '70s 4000 set-neck in Jetglo with a custom white-edged pickguard, yes?

Correct Paul, it's a '73. The pickguard was on when I bought it, and I liked the look so never took it off.
Here's me with my CS from the same gig; strangely I've been starting to find the 4000 a bit too aggressive recently (maybe I'm just getting old!) and I switched to the far more mellow CS 2/3 of the way through the gig, which helped me recover somewhat from my early nerves. I think sometimes if I can hear myself too well it puts me off!

Hey Andy, it's just a good job I wasn't wearing my Superman t-shirt too, because I nearly did!

I can relate to the nerves Shaun, one of the saxaphonists in my old blues band had a life changing accident, so we'ved reformed and are playing a benefit for him tonight.
Im nervous as a cat. We've not played together since about 2004, with only a few rehearsals.

Best of luck Scott. It's difficult when you've been out for a while. I've always suffered from nerves onstage, and only when I'm gigging frequently do I seem to be able to deal with them properly. Normally I have a couple of beers before playing and that takes the edge off, but I had flu (or something similar) and didn't really want to drink. Of course I abandoned that a song or so in, I could hardly play! Typically I was just starting to relax by the end of our short set. If they'd given me another half hour, I'd have been fine...
