Thanks everyone for making this happen! It was a good time.
Re: SCARF/Ricktoberfest® 2010 So Cal Annual Ric Fest Oct 16th
Thanks Joey, Paul, and Rich for all the many hours spent getting this together. If I read between the lines, it appears that JH somehow put on his Don Corleone hat and made the venue an offer they couldn't refuse, so thanks JH. The high point for me was to see the results of Joey's amazing recovery. I got the sense that he was gonna start tap-dancing at any moment.
If anyone is on the fence about making the trip to SoCal for one of these events, I strongly advise you to take the plunge. It's a great bunch of friendly folks and a memorable experience. Just ask Jake.

Re: SCARF/Ricktoberfest® 2010 So Cal Annual Ric Fest Oct 16th
I want to thank all of my fellow organizers! I'm probably going to forget some names, and some things to thank people for, so I apologize in advance.
Joey, Rich, thank you so much for everything. You guys were great.
Thank you to Diane Vasco for keeping track of things in the !
Thank you very much to John Hall for coming wout, and helping us secure the venue.
Scott, ditto, thanks for designing the t-shirts, arranging with Embroid Me to make them, taking the time to roganize the spreadsheet, organizing the 70s jam, and bringing your fellow band members from Progknowsys.
Thank you to Skip for suggesting the venue, organizing the surf segment and helping keep the jams going with the playing. I don't think we got to half of the songs we wanted to... well maybe half.
Thanks to Pat Hayes and his fellow members of the Byrds Collective.
I want to thank each and every person who came to and took part in the confluence. It's always a circus trying to keep things going and get everyone who wants to up on stage to play. Thank youto everyone who did, and if there was a song you wanted to play that you didn't get to, I sincerely apologize, and we'll do a better job at the next one. I think we're getting better, and it's always a lot of fun, but I know there were songs we missed and some guys who wanted to play more.
Thank you very much to all of the drummers who came out and played! Paul Sakry, Alberto Campos, Dave from Byrds Collective, Mark, and my frind Scott, who didn't end up playing, but was happy to hang out and chat.
Thanks again to my fellow Glendorans: Alberto, Robert, Rich, Joey.
Thank you to Jake and Ross for making the trip, and thank you to Mrs. Kety for an engaging and informative chat about the practice of law. Thanks to Jake for the gift of an MXR Dyna Comp!
Thank you to the Starting Gate Crew for the great food and service all day.
Last but not least by any means, I also want to put in a special thanks to Carlo Fornerino and his staff at Guitar Center, Fountan Valley, who were very generous in loaning us a Mackie P.A. setup and Gretsch drum kit, with a mic setup for the drums. If you're local, please support this store.
I want to thank my friend Jay Tynes with Guitar Center Corporate for putting us in touch with Guitar Center as well.

I wish I could help here, Steve. Wanna stomp on my camera battery?BuddyDog wrote:Now where are the pics???
Paulie and Rich, thanks for mentioning and thanking Diane. I am truly blessed for having a wife who is so supportive of my passion for Rickenbacker instruments, enjoys the friendships I've made through the forum, Rickenbacker events and music as much as I do.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

That was one cool, marathon RickenJam session today !!!
Many thanks to Joey and Paulie for all their behind the scenes efforts in making this Confluence as special as it was.
We're glad that JH could hang out with everyone and a big thank you to all the participants, spectators, jammers, displayers, guys who provided promo CDs, guys who coordinated jam segments, folks who assisted with cameras and videos, folks who arranged the Tee Shirts and all the great fellowship and talent in the Ric community. Thanks to The Starting Gate for providing the facility !!
I really appreciate everyone who brought some of their fellow band-members to perform and add to the festivities... and we all got to meet Jake and enjoy jamming with him and his singing and MIck Jagger performance !!Way to go, Jake !!
Special thanks to the nice folks at Guitar Center-Fountain Valley for providing the full drum kit and P.A. system for us !!!

It was an honor and a pleasure to play with you, Mark, and Dave; and thanks to all of you (and all the other guys) for helping me with my stuff.pehayes2 wrote:I'd like to thank Paulie, Rich and Joey for hosting such a fun event. The amount of planning and co-ordinating such an event amounts to hours and hours of hard work. So guys: Thank you!
Also Skip, Jake and Tom O'Keefe filled in for our missing Byrds Collective members and did a fantastic job. Thanks to all!

Wow, lots of talk, but the only pictures seem to be of Jake. I'm beginning to wonder...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
