That was one cool, marathon RickenJam session today !!!
Many thanks to Joey and Paulie for all their behind the scenes efforts in making this Confluence as special as it was.
We're glad that JH could hang out with everyone and a big thank you to all the participants, spectators, jammers, displayers, guys who provided promo CDs, guys who coordinated jam segments, folks who assisted with cameras and videos, folks who arranged the Tee Shirts and all the great fellowship and talent in the Ric community. Thanks to The Starting Gate for providing the facility !!
I really appreciate everyone who brought some of their fellow band-members to perform and add to the festivities... and we all got to meet Jake and enjoy jamming with him and his singing and MIck Jagger performance !!Way to go, Jake !!
Special thanks to the nice folks at Guitar Center-Fountain Valley for providing the full drum kit and P.A. system for us !!!
It was an honor and a pleasure to play with you, Mark, and Dave; and thanks to all of you (and all the other guys) for helping me with my stuff.pehayes2 wrote:I'd like to thank Paulie, Rich and Joey for hosting such a fun event. The amount of planning and co-ordinating such an event amounts to hours and hours of hard work. So guys: Thank you!
Also Skip, Jake and Tom O'Keefe filled in for our missing Byrds Collective members and did a fantastic job. Thanks to all!

Ditto this! Joey and JH-we owe you!beatbyrd wrote:Thanks Joey, Paul, and Rich for all the many hours spent getting this together. If I read between the lines, it appears that JH somehow put on his Don Corleone hat and made the venue an offer they couldn't refuse, so thanks JH. The high point for me was to see the results of Joey's amazing recovery. I got the sense that he was gonna start tap-dancing at any moment.
If anyone is on the fence about making the trip to SoCal for one of these events, I strongly advise you to take the plunge. It's a great bunch of friendly folks and a memorable experience. Just ask Jake.
Gary took lots of pictures. There should many pictures on Rich's camera also.cjj wrote:Wow, lots of talk, but the only pictures seem to be of Jake. I'm beginning to wonder...
