- That "new style" 360 sure did look great on George

- is it just me or does it seem like Ringo was in a foul mood during this gig?
He seemed to perk up a bit during Day Tripper.... perhaps he disliked
playing "If I Needed Someone" as much as he LOVED to play "Rain"

Ringo looks fookin' embarrassed!
He's probably thinking "Ha. Best band in Liverpool! What happened?"
I'm sure by then touring was getting old.
As it's been said, "Modern band touring was invented 15 minutes after the Beatles quit touring". Or close to that.
Anyway, from most accounts, hectic uncomfortable affairs.

Haaa... yup, exactly. They were sounding pretty tired at that point and that version of If I Needed Someone' sounded especially lame.
On the other hand I guess we'll never know. Maybe he was just ****** at Paul's arrogant "I'm the leader" attitude.

I guess they didn't have electronic tuners back then.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the video (only two months or so ago), but I wrote it off as exhaustion.
He looks downright glum from the first close-up!

I found whilst watching this concert that ALL of the Beatles looked like they did not want to be there! George couldn't be bothered singing all the lines and John couldn't care less.

Kent, notice the poster on the right; misspelled "Beetles" and Rory Storm on the same bill.

Kent:
Any idea what George is looking at on his 12 in that b&w closeup of him? Looks like 5 white rectangular pieces of "something".

That's the bridge and those 5 white rectangles are the saddles with one obscured from view by his thumb.

Jeff:
I thought that was the case, but the missing 6th piece threw me a little.
Thanks---
