Great clip, excellent tone Ilan!

What was your amp setup?

Were you in standard tuning? ( if you dont mind me asking? )

Thanks guys! That was our first time playing on TV and I'm so glad you liked it :D

Scott: I plugged into a Roland D-Bass 2x10 combo that they already had there, I set everything flat (all knobs at 12 o'clock), liked the sound so I didn't bother to change anything, just adjust the volume. The bass is in standard tuning.

Ilan, very cool indeed - bass tone is just what the song needed. The drum kit is great sounding too. Kudos sir!

Ilan,

Your music speaks in universal terms - no translation necessary. I agree with what John said and add that you all manage to look as well as you sound. :D

I gotta add it would be interesting to know what the host and Assi are talking about - a little male/female tension there. The drummer has a look or two going on too during it.

You know how TV directors always focus on the guitar and you hardly get a glimpse of the bass? Well this is NOT the case here... I think he liked the white Ric...

Ric close-ups at 2:12 and 3:02, extreme toaster close up at 4:42...

What a heavy riff! Very cool, Ilan; sounded like something I would have heard growing up in the '70s. The band sounded great!

this is an old pic-the 4002 is gone, still have the 4000. thought some of you might enjoy (or cringe) over the mad mods on the 4002---the tortoise pickguard and knob layout were mine, the seymour duncans and bent-tin bridge were there when i bought the bass.....

That first bass in those group of photos is interesting. An Epiphone?

Definitely. Looks to be an old Embassy bass.

yes,a 1967 embassy bass, now owned by a gentleman in a bay area animals tribute band, who i believe may be a friend of paul w. it's basically a thunderbird bass, and possibly one of the best sounding basses i've owned. i didn't realize all of those pics would be accessed-i thought the link was only for the 4002 pic. i thought my 4002 was rather cowboy-lookin' with the tort guard.

Welcome to the forum DeWayne. What year is your 5er? Is it the standard string pitch?
