Apologies to both Melissa and Paul. An attempt to be flippant reads as carelessness on the part of the Curmudge and lack of feeling toward Melibee.

This was not my intention at all - we all know this will work out perfectly in the end.

While it's no consolation to you Melissa, you've have at least seen and played your new toy and know what you've got!

For us it's going to be another fascinating issue of how Paul goes about weaving his magic to restore the problem, (assuming he will post the progress of this - I hope!!)

Ron, I plan to avoid restoring the problem, and concentrate on repairing the guitar., LOL!

I will wait to get it back and evaluate it before deciding if it merits photos.

Meanwhile, we've got the 481 to look after, a couple of nice older 4003s, and a '69 365OS, my own '82 360WB a custom burst 325, a few others to be revealed at the appropriate times, and of course the '60 Capri. Lots of cool stuff in the works!

Good news to those who are waiting--I'm about 2 weeks ahead so far this year.

Obviously didn't read my post, (dammed illiterate Australians!!!!) You want to restore the guitar - not the problem!!

I'm sure additional new work will soon take care of that 2 week leeyway you have before long!

If Melissa's happy about this, maybe a shot of the damage done to her guitar and without revealing too many trade secrets a general outline of what your options might be.

While I guess until you have the guitar back to access the damage, would this be a job for "Zap A Gap"?

I am fine with this, Ron--in fact, I was going to ask Paul about it myself; I am curious as to how he will fix it....and as I said, I am so relieved that it is indeed fixable!

By the way, I just got done playing Pretty Purple tonight, and I love everything about that guitar....it will be painful to have to box her up and send her out again!

I'm curious, too, and won't really know until I get it back and have a good look at the nick...

Ha! I'm not surprised at all. It just goes to show much interest there is in these projects.

Barney knows!!!

Eeeeeewwwwwwww..... Paul, surely you of all people know that Pretty Purple is NOT Barney purple! Ugh.... what a repulsive thought. Her color is quite unique and altogether lovely.

There are many shades of purple, Melissa.

My 8 yo daughter made it through her preschool years with a strong attachment to that purple dinosaur. Drove me nutz...

I can understand that.... fortunately my own kids never really got into Barney! The only thing worse is Teletubbies.... Blech!

Teletubbies... waah! Mousie used to laugh like crazy at them when she was 4...

My hubby took the camera to church today, and took a few shots after the service before I packed up my gear--none of them turned out very well, but here's the best one, as promised! We'll try to get some better ones (with the bass player and other guitarist too--he was sick today) after we get Pretty Purple back again.
