Bummer, Gareth. Sorry you couldn't make it.
Next time. Next time.

Most definitely! We need to do this again. Maybe in the spring?

, though not as I wish I could've with the bad back.
Thanks to Kira for all her efforts, to Paul W. for hosting a brunch, and most of all to you guys who helped me load up my Ricks and amplifier.

Sorry I had to leave early, but recovering now with an ice pack and more Advil. Had fun finally meeting up with so many of you I've talked to before, but hadn't met. I hope the jam goes great !
Next time I'll be in better condition for playing a few licks
It was perfect weather, and a nice venue to meet up

I hope you're doing better today, Gary. It was great to talk to you and see your Ricks. Hope to see you again at another confluence.

I agree, Doug, that Jon played beautifully. Thanks to him and to Gary, who was ailing, and Joey who is still on crutches. There were a few of us in less than top physical condition, but spirits were soaring in spite of it.

Ah, yes, the little munchkin was totally over-amped, as is his style at parties.

But he loved meeting everybody, even if he was too excited to be sweet to you all.

Great shots Doug !

All in all it was a fantastic day, thanks again to all who made it possible and to Paulie, Doug, and whoever else helped me load up. Got a good night's sleep alternating ice and heat and popping Advil, I was so bummed

that my back had to go yesterday.

....why not next weekend instead of the day of a very groovy Rickenbacker Confluence with so much good company and Rickenbacker eye candy ?
Oh well, I'm sure we'll meet up again someday. Just a groovy day in spite of our ails and aches and pains
Is some one telling me I'm getting too old to rock and roll?....NEVER !
I look forward to more photos, I think Diane Vasco was taking a lot of shots and several other people. So nice to meet all of you !
Gary ( modrock )

because I don't own a digital camera

Dan's 1997 and someone's (?) 1973 620 (both are real beauties):
A few of the great basses that Joey and Woody brought:
Another shot:
Rich's really nice 360-12:
And his 370 with a HB in the bridge:
Paul's Big Red cavorts with an older blonde lady:
Some of Kira's collection with my two oldies in the back:
Big Red Eyes (and big blue shoes)...Paul jams through my rig (was this when you guys played Come Together?):
Dan, Steve, Harry, and Paul playing Come Together.
Talk about guitar (and bass) face! Dan, Steve, and Harry showin' us how it's done.
Dan, standing like Bill Wyman.
Harry laying down a groove with his mid-70's 4001:
Jon with my '64 375. His last name really sums up his playing. That guitar has never sounded as good as when he played it!
And he wasn't afraid to let rip on Kira's awesome RM sig, either!
Joey with a white 4000 (I forgot who's bass). I think he likes it!
Joey plays while Diane looks(?) on. Hey, are you slappin' and poppin' on that Rick?
Kira and her neighbor (didn't catch his name) hanging out front. I hope someone got a good shot of Kira playing bass at the beginning of the Jam!
George wonders if you can you play instro surf on these little things?
Yes you can--just grab that thing right there!
Rich lays down the law with his 370 during the Jam:
Thomas (?) who runs Music Spectrum sat in on drums for about half of the jam. He's the master of the extended ending

:
Woody with some of the basses on display:
Woody tries out a C64(?) while Kira looks on.

But that's Harry on the Capri,,hah

Yesterday was such a blast... I broke a string on my 360/12 and usually that means no more 12 string...but here Kira handed me her Carl Wilson 12!!!!! I felt kinda guilty! I was all sweaty after playing a bit but she was great... and the guitar was too... She also let me play her 330 which I have totally fallen in love with!
So many cool people... Paul W and his lovely family are always such a joy to see... I'm still in awe of his abilities...
North of Malibu sounded amazing...
So many cool guitars!
Hope we do it again next year!

John, thanks so much for a great show. I love
Johnny Mathis and
The Scooby Song. And my guitars are honored to be "mojoed" by an artist like yourself.

This was a totally great event!
The brunch at Paul W's was excellent and I ate way too much food. Seeing where, "the sanding never stops" was awesome and the mini museum that is attached was a treat

. Thanks to Paul, Dalia, Juliana and Gabriel for the hospitality!
It was great to meet Kira, Gary, Doug, John, Jon, Woody, Ed, Harry, anyone I forgot and thanks to the So Cal gang for making the drive up north. I guess in this instance, it was good to live 3 hours from anywhere for me. Kira, you and Tripper did a great job herding the cats for this one.
A fun jam and that was my first and last attempt at "singing"

, though the more I drank, the better I sounded

. I definitiely need some woodshed time!
Now the NorCal contingent needs to make a road trip for a So Cal mini-con.
Safe travels home everyone! I can't wait to see more pictures!!!
