Yearly average striking days Belgian Railway (NMBS) an Postal services: 28
It's only the civil servants that strike all the time.
And those that lose their job, like the Ford and Mittal employees.
I used to own a business.
I just stopped it, and got a 9 to 5 job.
I ended up earning less, but without the 24/7 kafkaian hassle.

I feel your pain, but it could actually have been worse - your business could have been in France

I don't toally agree on just the civil servants, but it's always good to be in Belgium, though! Having a business is spending way more time than 9 to 5 on it!

How much do we know about Gerry's? I always see George this, George that, but never read anything about Gerry's 12er.

Gerry's, sadly, appears to have ended in a bit of a horror story. I forget the exact details, but the story is that at some point he cut the tip of the headstock off his Old Style 360/12 because it didn't quite fit in a special heavy duty touring case that he'd made up . I couldn't believe that the story was true when I first read about it, but it appears that is what actually happened. At some point after that the guitar ended up in the ownership of a guitarist with a band from, I think, New Zealand...I remember seeing pretty poor quality pics (or possibly stills from a video) of it in use with that band. It would be interesting to know where it is now (if it's survived) and to see some better pics.... Surely this must be a top candidate for restoration to its original state given the historical significance of that guitar.
