You've got that right John. They lost again tonight. Can you spell 1964 Phillies?

Maybe Howard will bring them some luck -- or maybe he can just throw a few innings of relief for them.

the Cardinals have added extra security

They probably added the security because of the way they're playing, not because of Aitch's visit. Image

If Howard truly is good luck, then the Cardinals will fall again tonight.

I hope you explained the game well enough to Howard so he wasn't driven to distraction waiting for them to bring out the 'drinks trolley'...

I suppose no harm could come from a lone voice in the crowd continually shouting "Howzzat?!"
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Cardinals 4 Padres 2

Howard quickly figured out that after the home team hits a home run it's okay to hug every woman in sight.

Now St Louis fans want him to stay for the final four games of the season. He's the Cardinals' new good luck charm.

I will Brian. I will see him one more time tomorrow and then he's off to Springfield, IL before winding up in Chicago -- the last stop on his North American tour.

He is GREAT fun!! Great perspective on enjoying life.

Hey Bob, Please let Aitch know that Greg, Ron and I have almost finished drinking all the beer left in his fridge. He needs to return home soon to restock the shelves for us. Image

Bob, If Howard starts shouting, AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE - OI OI OI, then things are getting a bit slow at the baseball and he may need a beer to settle him down. His Aussie mates would tell you this is what we do at the cricket. Image (Any excuse to knock one down LOL)

About the fridge guys - don't worry I've got two boxes of Crownies that belong to him to restock the fridge, that's if it's dry before he gets back. LOL

Phew!! Glad you've still got the Crownies under wraps, Ron......

It's been a real treat meeting everybody and I can't thank them all enough for the hospitality and generosity shown.

There have been some really sad farewells, too. I'm planning on coming back within the next two years, so hopefully we can do it all again - or something similar. Image

The Gun Lake pics are in the camera, Brian. As soon as I find a few hours they will be up there.

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to post much for a while...... should have bought that cheap notebook in New York!!

If you Aussie guys are up to it, how's about a get together on October 14th or 15th? My place is fine or you decide.....

Go Cardinals!!! Image Right, Bob??

Good to see you back on the forum Aitch. I'll give you a call at home after you have settled back into the groove of daily grind. You must have some unforgettable memories as well as some great stories to tell the boys back in Oz.

You bet, Brian! I'm going to have to pay excess baggage on the way home...... far too many bloody t-shirts!!

I'll try calling you next week from Chicago. You're up at the lake this coming weekend, yes? Either that or email me your cell phone number and I'll call.
