I bought my 360/12 in June of 1991. Serial number wise, it's an August of 1990. So we're celebrating the 20th in a couple months!

Next month my 330 FG is going to be just old enough to start dating. She will be 15 but I won't let her out without a chapperone...

Definitely not old enough to drink. This one's just a baby at a mere 2 years old...

If only I knew the history of my bass. I bought it in 1994 for $500 (haha) from the local music store chain. Built in 10/75, so this year will be it's 35th birthday. I've had it not quite half of its existence, but for sure its a keeper. Have not adjusted the neck once in 16 years as the action was already low, it is stable, hardly ever goes out of tune, has had the same Fender roundwounds on it which I put there in September 1994.

Wow! That may be a record for the longest duration of using the same set of strings. Maybe we should start a new thread about that! 'Who's had their strings on their bass the longest?'

For my mileage, strings that are deader is better. Plus, the neck has been absolutely stable in the years I've had it so I don't want to mess with it. A previous owner tried to adjust the truss rods incorrectly, ie nuts only, and here is the result. Basically, there's an "xxx" crosshatch where the binding and necl finish meet right at the nut; this is the start of the fingerboard popping off of the neck as far as I can tell. It hasn't grown since I've owned it.

I'm here to announce my trifecta this month. My '07 620, '75 430, and my '82 320 were all born in July. Figures as my life has always been well populated with Cancer the Crab type beings.

The 620 is the youngest Rick and I'm still getting used to its fuller neck profile. I may have it shaved.

The 430 used to belong to PW which is funny because it has the most abused finish. He never worked on it and never bonded with it either. He got it from a lady punk rocker.

My 320 is in process of a makeover. I bought it new in San Francisco in 1983. Perhaps next year this thread I will post pics of the transformation. It's fabulous but I'm not spilling the beans yet.

So do I need to throw a party or something?
