Rumbush: You certainly have a right to state your opinion and to disagree. It also seems to me, however, that we have to look at the long-term consequences of positions we take online, particularly if they are too harshly expressed in the heat of the moment.

With all due respect and great appreciation to Peter, it seems that with the censorship you've exercised that I do not have the right to state my opinion and to disagree.

I for one didn't feel any "heat of the moment." I considered the post before I made it and made a number of revisions in the process as you're probably aware. I haven't lost sight of the The Rickenbacker Forum's mission, as was made plain in my original post when I passionately supported the forum and the unique and special interactions amongst members.

Rumbush: Your passionate response was duly noted and much appreciated.

I do think it is important to include all here, however, as the Forum is not an island unto itself and gets its strength from all its participants, including those at the Factory.

It was a judgement call that I made based on the tone of the post as I interpreted it. I apologize for interpreting it as a heated moment. Had you been writing about me, I know that I would have been offended, and for this reason made the edit. I am sorry that my actions have offended you.

We also need to remember that RIC doesn't have to put out a special color, pickguard, or any other adornments for the anniversary. They have plenty of orders to fill as it is.

We should be happy with whatever it is that they're going to do, and if we like it, order it.

Minor correction: this isn't the Rickenbacker Forum- you'll find that elsewhere. This is the Rick Resource Forum.

Don't think I missed anyone mentioning this but could the new color being introduced on the anniversary maybe be added to the current list of available colors?

All I can say is that I am reddish/blackish in the face at the thought that one of my forum brothers/sisters said something to offend Ben.

Or am I blackish/reddish? blueish-blackish?

anyone?

I was kind of offended at his comments, Vito. Also, my comments are no longer on the board so I respectfully ask you to please reserve any judgment.

Can we move on now please

Wow-lets go back to my last post(premonition) 2 pages back and compare to what has transpired. Going down the list: rickenbacker freaks...check, things getting out of hand....check, Ric royalty (king)dispensing crumb...check. Of course this post should be taken in the spirit in which it was written, humorously.

No judgments here, Rumbush, I assure you. I was merely attempting to inject a little levity and to steer the thread back towards the mystery color.

Looks like I have failed in my attempt to be clever. No news there. I apologize.

In the words of Dylan...

Somethings going on here and we don't know what it is...
