Photos can be misleading, but I'd give the edge to Paul... one inch MAX.

As for Ringo, I see mentions of him anywhere from 5'6" to 5'8", the later being a bit too generous in my opinion.
I met George, and having once read he was the same height as John and Paul, I'd say the 5'11" was with their Beatle boots on and a little optimism. I'm 6'1" (5'13"), George was at least 4 inches shorter than me. Also, look at the way the Gretsch or John's Casino covers much of their torsos. Plus, Rusty Andersen, Paul's guitarist, is my height. Onstage he appears much taller than Paul. I'd say the heights in their bio, which had been the same since the Brian Epstein days, was fudged just a bit.

Yea, "fudged" to say the least.
I suppose the question should be "with or without Beatle Boots"

Kent, I love Paul's chipped-tooth era He fell off his bike, IIRC. Fearing the dentist, he walked around for most of a year like that.
Those are from the Paperback Writer video, right?

kiramdear wrote:I read somewhere that Paul and Linda used to "drop in" at the Lennons' occasionally in those years (maybe not quite that late in John's life) at Paul's instigation and to play a few songs and try to maintain some sense of comeraderie. John was usually embarrassed by these visits, but tolerant, according to the account (sorry can't cite it, can anyone spot me on this?).
So if it's not real, it doesn't seem that far-fetched (not knowing the exact date of their last visit). Am I completely off base here?
This was John's own account. I wouldn't say that John was embarrassed, but he says he asked Paul to call first before coming around.

So interesting. Check out 0:50 to 1:10
"The only living former Beatles"...... sorry, Larry, you forgot about Pete Best. I think is would have been SO CLASSY if Ringo (not Paul) had corrected Larry King and given just a little nod to Pete. Oh well.

I think the last time they saw each other was in 1976, Wings was on tour in NYC and Paul dropped by to see John, That was the night Lorne Michaels offered them 1 million bucks to come over to SNL and play together. But unfortunately for us they did not.
That would have been historic
