OK, gang, it's time to say hello to an old friend---

the immortal Mr. MVP!

I thought that his recent purchase of a '55 Cadillac convertible would keep him busy for awhile, but, alas...he's back butchering Gretsches again.

Check out the headstock on this latest effort:

Then there's this latest variation on the old "single cutaway with dagger" theme we say earlier this year. This one has the new "amoebic wood control plate" to take charge of the active pickup. Toilet flusher vibrato, too...

Enjoy!!! No nightmares, now, Melissa...

Truly sad! Image
Maybe he thinks if he makes the headstock unbelievably ugly, the rest of the guitar won't look quite so stupid.

Those are truly stunning. I'm truly stunned.... I am holding back on all kinds of other observations and comments so as not to offend wide groups of possible target markets. The man is an enigma.

Paul, my appetite was just ruined. I guess I show know better than to open this thread before having breakfast. But then again, maybe it's better that I open it now instead of after breakfast.

Paul: Did he send it to you for a refinish? I think you should change the colour. It would make all the difference. Image

I suppose without instruments like this one, classic models would have no meaning. This is painful nonetheless. Can you imagine how you would feel playing on stage with this one?

MVP is certainly an enigma - a mystery wrapped in a riddle. I'm beginning to think that these are joke guitars photo shopped by The Curmudgeon himself (ha ha). It's hard to believe that anyone would waste time and money turning out poorly-built and ill-conceived junk like this.
