Kent - I finally had the time on a lazy Saturday morning to go thru this thread, as I have intended to do for months, and view all the photos and videos. A great job, my friend!

Thanks, Mike.... Others have posted great stuff too, so it's nice to be able to add to my photo collection.

John used his Fender Tweed Deluxe from Oct 1960 to July of 1962.

At the Larry Parnes audition, it appears that Stu is playing through an amp that says "THE PRESSMEN", yet I can find very little info about this amp. Could it be that it was just an amp that happened to be there and they only used it for that one audition? Or is that John's mic cord going into the amp?

So, what have we here?? 1965/Day Tripper era guitars: Two Hofners, two Ricks, two Gibsons and...

Is that a dark Strat, with matching (painted) headstock???

To my understanding, the only Strats any of them had were the matching Sonic Blues. :?: :!:

I took my 500/1V63 to band practice tonight. We ran through songs by Foreigner, 3 Doors Down, Coldplay, TP & THBRs, The Cars, David Bowie, you know typical things one would play on a Höfner!

I still can't get over the fact they didn't have vocal monitors - 100 watt Vox's behind them, 3,000 watt screaming girls in front of them...

Who needed monitors when you couldn't hear yourselves anyway?

I don't think there were any monitors at that point..
