Above the 12th...that,s more like it Jeff..Now all we need is that 5 with the high C..

for me a high C is useless ... when I play I use the whole neck ... but the high notes that I get on the g string are high enough for me ...
If I want to play notes higher than that then I will switch to guitar ...

I use a pick 99.99% of the time. This is rare.
I have also changed out the treble & volume knobs to black bakelite.

Pete,
Same here, I've always much prefered the tone and control a pick gives me.

I'm 50/50 ... half the time with a pick and half the time fingers ... once in a while I pick up a drum stick and whack the bass ...
To make my 5 string rics more friendly I replace the saddles and cut the grooves farther apart to get an extra 1/4" spacing at the bridge ...

I like to use picks primarily, but I also finger pick and thumbslap. I usually use a pick for my Ricks though.

Thank's to you all for the reception!
I m now be familiar with Ilan from tel aviv , he send me an e mail and said he is glad to see another israeli in the forum.
Sorry about the mistake in my english.
It was our first performance .
we play rock with influence of the 70'.
The RIC is from February 95'.the amp is Marshall haed with an old fender cabinet 2*10 and 1*15, the sound was great.
Here in israel we play in a studio so I don't have my own amp.
This guitar is my only Ric , I olso have p bass.
we can't buy here rickenbacker because there are no dealer in israel. we need to buy it in personal importing.

Hey Barak... I know of a Jetglo '73 that might be for sale locally... Amos Friedman's. He will trade for a Fender J.
Yes, finding nice Rics around here is not easy, and buying on eBay is $350 shipping from the US + 17% VAT + other taxes - you have to really want it.
