I just emailed the guy and asked him hey buddy "whats the deal with that bass,you pulled that picture from mikes web sight,are Italians that hard up for money" everyone that is Italian excuse this comment i just wanted to **** him off,so i get a response.

Ken, these guys are all over the place: in the far east & eastern europe especially, even here. I have kept up with harrasing emails to him and I have bounced all his return emails to me, which probably only makes him more angry.

The seller sounds like the typical lazy idiot who thinks that he/she/it should have full right to use or own anything, no matter if it's someone eles's property.

I fault him/her/it for (1) not obtaining permission to use said picture, and (2) not stating that the picture is NOT the bass for sale.

I have bought items in the past that had no picture, and was disappointed only once (not RIC-related).

postal police is a part of Italian State Police that look after postal/internet/bank etc crimes (pedophilia i.e.)...
so what the story about this bass..was it a fake ebay ad?

I'm sorry that it's turned out to be a scam. I was going to treat myself to that 4005 once those Nigerians had sent me that cash they promised.

Who knows if it was a scam. It sure sounded like one, and the seller used a picture of Mike's 4005.
I did see that the auction went the distance, and sold to someone in the US I think.
I hope the poor guy didn't get screwed.
