I haven't heard back from Rob yet. Maybe it's because he thinks I'm gonna refinish it...
Rob, you have my pledge, I love it as it is. It is gorgeous and I won't change a thing, except the strings and then only when they need it as I plan to take care of it like a child, and play the hell out of it when I'm not waxing it with Zymol!

Jeez, Rob, I haven't heard from you yet. Have you changed your mind on this?
You seemed so eager to sell...And I AM eager to buy!
Just drop me a line and let me know what's going on, please?

I've owned a lot of different basses, Aitch, over the years. Favorite was an ordinary '80 Precision Bass...I will be adding a Rick soon. This Hamer is a gorgeous bass and I will be developing wide, spatulate tips on my fingers before long...

I forget this instrument's name, but it looks like an extra large coffee table that has a zillion string on it, and you use a pair of mallots to make music. Somewhat like a piano, minus the black and white keys. I see this guy, who's Polish right off the boat BTW, at this guitar show/swap meet that we have here almost every 6 months. It's a fascinating instrument, but can't afford one, and I don't have the room to stick it anywhere at the moment.

Talk about costing a fortune to restring...
What you saw there, Rob, was a hammer dulcimer. It's amazing to watch anyone play this one well, as you need perfect aim as well as pitch... It's like a xyophone with strings instead of metal bars, and it has about 75 strings!
But it has a lovely, chiming sound.
Harpo Marx...I remember seeing him play on I Love Lucy. I was about 8 or 9 at the time.

And I though that Bob's theme song was called "Thanks for the Mammaries". This was at an age when I hadn't a clue what the word meant.
I was a hit at family gatherings, where I was encouraged to sing the song.
An elephant is the only animal with four knees.
