Or alternatively they might be existing eBaying Rickenbacker fans who have registered a second eBay username (with a different email address) so that they can remain relatively anonymous perhaps? If I was having a serious shot at this bass, with the rather high-end price being expected, I'd prefer the rest of the world not to know about it. The plot thickens.......

I'm starting to get concerned as sometimes what two guys can do is bid to the moon, one withdraws at the last minute and the first guy gets it at the low price.
I won't know until the early AM if I'm bidding or not.

Marc - I get a bad feeling that someone is going to get played.

I'm going to e-mail the seller and let him know I'm sincerely interested in the bass but want to be sure there is legitimate bidding.

Marc, good luck i sure hope you get this thing, somebody that can appreciate what it is.I think the two bidders are probably shill bidders, lets hope they don't run the bid through the roof,I think i will email the seller let him know you are not only serious ,but you will value and treasure it.

He told me the two bidders came to his home, want the bass, and he feels they are real.
I appreciate the help and thoughts Ken.

This does look a little disturbing. Someone else bidding whose feedback consists of mainly less than $10 items....
I'm with Ken..I hope this doesn't get shilled up too much and Marc can get it at a fair price...

Another interesting fact, after some complaints about zero feedback bidders, a 208 feedback bids. This guy has over 200 feedbacks in the past 30 days on nickel and dime clothing items.
Something definately stinks and the price is nearing my threashold anyway.

Marc, make him an offer if he excepts he knows the guys plus you get the bass,if they are legit he might not want to chance it anyway.[/size]
