Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Saw them last night in St. Paul, MN. Great show. Between Petty and Campbell there were probably 6 different Ricks including Tom's signature model. All the guitar players (Petty, Campbell and Scott Thurston) had Big Vox cabs. Like the old Beatles setup. It was definately a "history of Rock and Roll guitars" kind of a show. They all change guitars between every song. It was great.

Got my tix for TP at the Hollywood Bowl.
Only problem is the opening act. I'll have to sit out at the bar for that.

Who's opening for TP&THB in Hollywood? I know that they're billed with Trey Anastasio in Detroit but I've heard rumors that TP was the opening act on a lot of these gigs.

Tom and the HB's have been the headliners on 'their' tour this summer with Trey Anastasio as well as Pearl Jam as openers. Stevie Nicks performed with Petty in each show for the first summer leg of the tour.
