Ken....I know that it actually dries once all of the solvents (or whatever) evaporate but it's a slow-ish process. The semi-constant buffing/wiping also helps to keep it looking uniform......otherwise if the oil dries on the surface it can look a little "splotchy".
The LK looks the same after applying a light coat of the tung oil but the Ci I have was apparently oil-neglected for some time so it really looks like new again now. I'll post some before/after pics later today.
Sean....I think I may have a battered copy of that on VHS somewhere. Unfortunately I don't even have a VHS player anymore (TiVo RULES!)

.
Ken....I haven't seen you mention anything about the Mid-Atlantic Ricfest.....don't you live in Maryland and are you going ?

Do you only check the "Bass Forum" section?
Just take a look under the "Forum Comments" section and you'll see the "Mid-Atlantic Rickfest" thread......or maybe it is somehow blocked from your computer. In that case please ignore my above comments.....nothin' to see here, move along

.
Look forward to meeting you and your rapidly growing collection.........
I think the tentative date is 11/5.

I received a few very specific pics I requested so I'm at least comfortable that the seller owns the LK and I have no reservations about buying.
Now I'll just wait and see.......

The high bidder has spent @ $400 on his recent transactions, including this

Hopefully he's not "spent"...

I think he bought that so he doesn't get screwed on future transactions.

It's at the border now of what I am willing to spend......I'll make up my mind little closer to the end

.
If I didn't have one I'd be more enthused. Being outside of the US cuts in to my funds a little as well.

I think I'm out of the running.....unless I start doing shots and get some liquid courage going

.
It's at $8100-ish with 2 hours to go. With import duties and shipping the price is a little bit much and I'm sure it will be more by the time it is done.

Brian, there are no duties when a USA made item comes back.
