You got your points across very well, Scott. Undoubtedly the discussion ranged a bit wider than you'd thought it would, but hopefully in this Forum, there is a lot of space for a variety of views to be aired. Nobody's accusing you of trying to change any minds.

Have you read the entire thread? There are a lot of contributors from both sides of the aisle, and no firm conclusion yet.

This will not be my last post on the subject.

Scott, I got your point and I agree with it too. I do like original guitars with their "age spots", etc. I have a ton of them. I also think that there's nothing wrong with a superior resto job, especially if the guitar has been refinned/restored poorly in the past.
