I'm trying to resize someof the photos for posting here. There's one of a Lemmy, a CS and a 4005. I have two of the three, If JH could send me the Lemmy,I could reproduce the photo in my home. I promise to send the bass back when I'm done.

Martin, facinating story. I'm curious what the front looks like.
BTW, I don't blame Rickenbacker, that 3/1 look always turned me off, although I have owned some Music Man basses.

It is an interesting story Marc.....I didn't know anything about it until I discovered it on this forum.
I enquired about a picture and someone posted this one here....although I've seen one somewhere since and it now has a Ric TRC on the headstock:
Probably just as well that Ric rejected it.... doesn't have that Rickenbacker look does it?

Looks more like Rickenbacker's answer to the Fender Musicmaster bass or even a geez.. whaddo they call those basses with the lipstick pickups?

Do notice however that the Forrest White bass proto's bridge/tailpiece was "fiddled" with.
The area containing the mute ain't there!
It would seem that 'ol Forrest was trying to help the palm-muters out all those years ago!
