Bob's Yer Uncle? Bill, are you from B.C.? I saw Bob's Yer Uncle in Halifax back in '90 or '91 I think.

Thanks for the compliments. The BYU in B.C. is spelled Bob's Your Uncle - different band w/a female singer. Bob's Yer Uncle is from Chicago.

Ah. I didn't think she was still active. She was on MuchMusic for a while & she's acting in some movies now. Nice girl.I talked to her after the show in Halifax. Sook Yin Lee is her name. They were fairly avant garde.

Dane: Love the Perry Weissman 3! The quiet chatter, clinking of glasses, etc. - COOL!

Glad you liked it, Howard...it's all real; a live show at The Bluebird Theater here in Denver...recorded on Boxing Day a couple of years ago. The theater management had left the furnace off and let the place go cold over the Christmas holiday...they turned it back on just before our gig, but it takes some time to heat up a big theater. It was a very cold gig...some of the quiet chatter you hear could be teeth...

It's always tricky with the 4001, which is quite sensitive to temperature. As it's a fretless, however, one ought to be good enough to compensate for tuning problems.
If one can feel ones hands, that is...

I finally have a site that has my bass sound on it....
http://www.myspace.com/modelcitizendetroit
Check out "Would?" if you wanna hear it. "Sweet Emotion" is recorded a little hot.. "Personal Jesus" has a little breakdown in it where you can hear the bass pretty well. Those were recorded live off the soundboard at the club we were playing.
