Thanks John. I'm sure that I'll like the color no matter what it looks like over the years.

Here's the difference between a '99 1997FG and an '04 330FG. Would the 1997 have been manufactured with a 'vintage' finish?

Me too.... and you can't have them!! LOL! The 330 is very special - my first Rickenbacker. Image

And to be truthful, by far the best sounding!

So it's made the trip south west, then? AG or TQ? Or maybe "and now, for something completely different........."

Interesting Howard that you say your new 330 is the best sounding. I have been lucky enough to own, or play, nearly every Ric gtr, old & new & yet I have settled on the humble 24 fret 330 as the best sounding gtr in the world! You just can't beat them & the hi-gains have everything...power, tone, typical Ric sound, versatility! I LOVE 330's....

Hi Tony. Yes, the 330 has that lovely combination of chime, depth and warmth. Especially with the toasters - much better than the 360V64 with the 'unwound' ones. I don't have a 330/360 style with hi-gains (yet) so I really can't compare. The 350 has hi-gains but there's no comparison in the body.

As a matter of fact the 330 is plugged into the JC-120 right now - just been playing along with JL's "Starting Over".... love it!!

Are you going to give us a hint, Melissa? Or keep us hanging by the short and curlies until some pics are posted? Image

Sorry, Aitch! All I can say is that I think the results will be worth waiting for when the time comes....I keep telling myself that good things come to those who wait, though I am not a very patient person by nature.... It might be a while, but that is okay.... Delayed gratification can be a good thing! Image

True. I'm sure the result will be stunning (knowing the quality of the Curmudge's work) and I'll happily wait with you. As you know, Paul is doing a project for me and I don't care how long it takes...... I know it will be worth it!
