That's a nice bass! I'm not very fond of the old 4000's thick horns, but it's purdy!

Oohh-
Just something from my laboratory....
It all starts with the "fish that got away"...
For me it was back in '86 when a '60 4000 got
away.... This was in NYC. Then in '98, I was
in Mike Lull's shop in Washington and what did he have
but that bass!!!!
He let me make templates from it and well....
Using a band saw, a jointer, and a 5th of Macallan, I came up with this.
Now I'll have to post a pic of the one I made 'cause I was
wondering what one would look like in Quilt Maple....
That will come when I have some daylight to photograph
it in.....
