How did you get anyone that far they would take a picture like that for you?

Unplugged Rickencuriosity?
Unplugged Rickentonequest?
Lots of libations?
The close affiliations we feel for Rics and feelings of camaraderie towards our forum peers allow us to do things non-Ric people could never understand?
Aitch is nuts? (Count me in the "nuts" group as well then.)

Yes Rob, that is the 1997. I took about 20 shots and not once did it touch anything other than the nearby guitar stand! And I played it for about an hour afterwards just to soothe its soul and prove to it that I meant no harm and still love it!!

The formal term for loo over here is 'water closet', Dane. However, we usually refer to it as 'the dunny' - a throwback to the old outdoor jobs. When they started to bring them inside it was referred to as 'the can' simply because that's what it was - a seat over a large metal can, which had to be emptied regularly by the 'night man'. This brought the expression 'flatter than a s**t carter's hat' into vogue!

Tripods and timers are wonderful inventions, Wim!

There were a couple of beers involved, Dean, but believe it or not I was perfectly sober. Let's just call it a 'release' after a hard week's work at the office! Image

This had me in stitches too Howard (and a little creeped out!). I'm just reading Bill Bryson's book "In a Sunburned Country" about his travels in Australia. He finds Australia quirky, odd, and surprising-thank you for helping me visual what he's writing about!

Please don't be put off or misled by what you've seen here, Bill! We're a laid back bunch who love a good time and a lot of fun. And (obviously) we're not afraid to be self-deprecating!! Image

Think I see a new 'pictures' thread coming -- y'know, like the one about the "head" stocks?

Omg.. that's hilarious. I live in Christchurch and the "terlet" in my house is right next to the bathroom... but my mother's terlet is in the bathroom. It's nice being able to go while someone is in the bath.

Howard... I showed my little sister the pic of you in the tub.. she started crying.

Just kidding! Image

I love to play my Ric 360 unplugged. It sounds great. Its my most played guitar now to that unplugged sound for around the house. I'm also glad to hear that people like their 350's unplugged.
The reason is that I want a 350/12 Jetglo for next Ric. Because I like the look and also because of its three toaster pickups and I think that the tones would be way different from my 360/6 with highgains when played together.
But I have toyed with the idea of 370/12 in Fireglo later. But then I had wondered if I should'nt get the 370/12 now for the better acoustic around the house playing?
But if the 350/12 is that good unplugged then I think I will get it first.

Nate...as long as you don't go while you're in the bath...

Howard...I do all my self-deprecating in the 'dunny'.

Howard, thank you for the indelible, ineradicable, ineffaceable images burned to my retinas.

I may permanently lose the ability and the inclination to bathe.
