Picture from a Phila show, of the bass. Late 70's I think.

Who/what is the guy on the left by the piano? Could be a caption competition!

That pic's from the "In the Round" shows. Might be a tech/roadie. I think that's Rick Wakeman with CS. Lot's of stuff was under that round stage.

I have that gig on DVD... what a great tone Squire pumps out.

My favourite era, too (after GFTO).. I loved Tormato.

Which bass did Squire use on "The Yes Album"? THAT tone is brilliant.

Yes, and the picture that some art director chooses is always current, up to date, and accurate. Like the "Time and a Word" LP cover with Steve Howe even tho' he's not on the album.

Woops, of course... RM1999 + Jazz for Time And A Word...

Of course, Yes album he used his other 4001, 1970 21-fret 4001 Deluxe, Toaster/Hi-gain.

Sounded better than his RM1999!

I think he used the rm1999 for Fragile and close to the edge ... I saw him touring with the rm1999 in that era ...

What is the difference between an RM1999 and a 4001S? The F hole? Image

I thought he broke the RM headstock in 70. Somewhere back in the distant past, someone posted somewhere that their brother was at the Uni gig in the UK when it happened.

While it was away being fixed, that was possibly when the "Yes Album" was recorded with the 21 fret bass.
