Maybe Jeff should do a 5-2-4 conversion on his fingers to help avoid typos......

I remember reading a review of the 2000 series basses, probably in GP (as I don't think BP was out yet) and they said the humbuckers were really muddy and "weird" sounding.. having a dull hollow tone. I'd imagine they were wound a bit too high... they must have changed them since then, or the input impedance of bass amps has increased since then...

4003's and 4001's are different animals...the 4004 is even more different. Heck, there appears to be a pretty distinct differences between the 3 types of 4004's...
