One or the other, stated clearly in the rule book.
What is your fave instrument? If it has tooth inlays, body and neck binding than you are pimping "deluxe" style. If you got MOP and checkerboard you get to be called "Dr." on top of that. For example: My 72' combined with my pimp name makes me "Dr. Pappa J. Slim"
Anything with dots on the fretboard and it is time to go to the farm Earl.
