I actually am torn with that question.....I like almost all of it for different reasons. Sean's recommendations are great and I'll add No Sleep 'til Hammersmith as a great live cd. Ace of Spades, Overkill or Bomber are great for "classic" Motorhead. March or Die and Overnight Sensation are my favorites of the newer. No Remorse is an excellent compilation although it is a little older.
I'm not sure if he is using the LK since I haven't seen the special.
As a side note......you should plan on going to the MidWest Confluence (referred to in other threads) to check out some fantastic Rics and at least one LK.

Hammersmith is definitely a winner. That version of Capricorn gives me chills everytime.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good "best of" Motohead CD?
As far as the Lemmy prices go, given the limited run it's very hard to gauge the price as there just aren't many units trading hands. However, if dealers are getting 10K+, then there must be a market. That market may be small, but so is the number of available Lemmys.

My overpriced ramblings are based somewhat on Vintage Guitar Magazines' price guides, 4005's based at $3700, CS @ $1800 and LK's at $2000+
These prices are set by dealers-who don't sell them at these prices.
I'm no expert in antiques (Chris!) but I wouldn't pay $10,000 for another LK.
Even if I could play 'em...
