The deal is done, the guy (Richard) is really reliable & nice, so thanks a lot & best regards to him as well (albeit i'm not sure he's reading it now)...
I bet you can't wait to get your hands on it!! - Yeah, especially given i'll get my hands on it as late as in mid-summer...
Thanx a lot, Aitch! And be careful with the champagne... Image

Congrats Sheena.

When is your mum scheduled to bring it home to you? Let us know when it arrives in Moscow so we can all celebrate. Oops maybe I should have said Dmitrov.

Going back a page, Kevin, the F-4G was the "Wild Weasel" version of the venerable Phantom. They were equipped to hunt anti-aircraft radars and emplacements. All were converted from E models (delete the 20mm gun and stick in a lot of spooky stuff). They saw service in Desert Storm, but now all (save a few) are in the boneyard or are flying as target drones. Sad.

Have no idea what the F4G on the whimsical keyboard means, except maybe "F***'n forgot." ?

Paul Boyer, the forum's military aviation nut.

Thank you all guys... Paul, i can see it: my mom with two suitcases of her clothes & a guitar in original case... feel a bit uneasy, but unfortunately no possibility for me to go to the States yet, as she suggested "don't be foolish! i'll do it... somehow"...
Tony: you know, i've waited for my first guitar (a present for my 8th or 9th birthday) for almost a year... and time flies faster as one gets older... so... maybe it wouldn't feel like a veeeery long time... Image

I'd be military aviation nut #2 then.
Sheena, tell your mum to learn a couple of chords, so she can play it & tell the nosy customs ________ that it's "her guitar & leave it alone please". Image

F4G is internet typing-speak for "fag." "Foo" is a standard placeholder for showing a text string in a computer code example

print "foo"[/size]

Kevin, the thing is, my mom is... eeh... lemme count... 16 years older than you (sorry mommy) and pretty fragile... as far as learning the chords is concerned... she never played guitar. But she told me yesterday she strummed a bit and was completely charmed, so perhaps if she has some spare time...
Thanks, John... #100 is not too far, right? Image

No, thats right Sheena, why at this frenetic pace I may reach those lofty heights (100 posts) even sooner than next week...and thank you for giving me another excuse to type on the computer-thingy again.....hope all is well
