Was the Mission Impossible theme playing in the background as you ran around town trying to sort this all out? Image

A most wonderful catch Peter, and the trip plus the camraderie must have made it all the more incredible. Now when you sell it to me later I'll book passage on the Queen Mary 2 to come get it!!!

LOL (I'm jealous by the way, I'll just have to look for that 4005/6 LH..)

The lefty 4005/6FG was offered to me when I originally negotiated with Scott for the 4005/4 (but it was a lot more than $10k). But oddly enough they couldn't actually find it when we were at CME on Monday.

John Leftybass - you know that I am only collecting them for you - I am writing my will as we speak!!!

Bless you Peter. Nice to know someone looks out for little old me...

$10K huh? Well, it was a good bit cheaper when it was out in California 3-4 years ago..of course what wasn't cheaper then, LOL...

Great story all around. The luckiest thing for Peter in all this was that he didn't have the same baggage handlers I had when I journeyed in to Columbus for confluence.

Yes, it would have been the icing on the cake if it had been in two pieces when I got home!

Congrats Peter,

TG that part of the journey went flawlessly. I am impressed with your dogged determination and the assistance of other forum members. You have a beautiful bass to show for it.

I'll jump in and say it was a great pleasure to host 2 lefties at my place, although the time flew past much to quickly. This marks the first time I've seen 3 lefties (including my wife who is the player in the house)at one time. I must say (sorry Ted :-)) it was kind of neat to see a righty holding guitars backwards. Hopefully another time we can hook up for a bit of playing and camaraderie!

Mr. X. won't be given up that easily, I'm afraid. He may be attending the Midwest Confluence.
